Q: What aspect of your game comes easiest to you? 

A: “I would say scoring. I could score in the paint, mid-range, and long range. Shooting is a big part of my game,” said Mason Mendygrayl.

Q: What aspect of your game is the most difficult for you to overcome?

A: “Defense. I definitely need to work on my on-ball pressure and my defense intensity. I defend well but it’s just not consistent. I have to make it consistent,” said Mason Mendygrayl.

Q: In what area do you feel you have improved the most? 

A: “The area I improved the most is definitely taking the ball to the basketball and overall just being consistent every game,” said Mason Mendygrayl.

Q: How is COVID affecting your season?

A: “COVID is definitely the worst thing,” said Mason Mendygrayl.

Q:  How do you prepare for a game that’s different from your teammates? 

A: “I put my headphones and block everything out. I pray to pop and then I’m ready to work,” said Mason Mendygrayl. 

Q: What advice has the coach given you that you’ll always remember? 

A: “Definitely be a leader not just on the basketball court but also in life,” said Mason Mendygrayl.

Q: What tips would you give someone trying out for the basketball team?

A: “Some tips I would give are don’t be nervous go out there and give it your all. Always work hard because there is someone else working as hard or harder than you. Challenge yourself every time you walk on the court,” said Mason Mendygrayl.

Q: What has basketball taught you that carries over into the other areas of your life? 

A: “The role of leadership is definitely the biggest one because that can help you in any aspect of life. Also teamwork because that shows you aren’t selfish and will help others whenever,” said Mason Mendygrayl.
