Fall Happenings
September 22, 2022
Fall is one season that you don’t want to miss out on in Pennsylvania. It is full of fall foliage, Friday night football, and more than enough pumpkin flavored items.
There are plenty of fun activities to keep you occupied during this transition from summer to winter.
Roba’s Family Farms, in North Abington Township, is a great place to visit with friends and family. The attraction has its own pumpkin patch, corn maze, wagon ride, food, games, etc.
Another popular pumpkin patch is Whistle Pig Pumpkin Patch in Noxen, Pa. They also offer free hayrides during the day on Saturdays and Sundays and a five dollar corn maze.
Someone who is not as much of an outdoor person might enjoy the Lehigh Gorge Scenic Railway in Jim Thorpe. This train ride passes through Lehigh Gorge State park and along the river.
A scenic view of the mountains and trees comes with this experience.
If you are a fan of apples and apple cider you will enjoy Brace’s Orchard in Dallas, Pa. The farm grows and sells all kinds of fruits and makes delicious baked goods.
Their famous apple cider and apple cider donuts must be tried. You may even pick your own apples if you would like.
Who doesn’t love a good scare coming into Halloween time? Reaper’s Revenge Haunted Hayride and Attractions in Scranton is the perfect place for that.
The 65 acre scare includes both a hayride and walk through. Through over 90 minutes of five terrifying attractions, you receive a spook like no other.
Take a trip to Nanticoke for a walk-through haunted house. Horror Hall includes twenty minutes of zombies, crazy clowns, and other scares.
If you’re more of a fair and carnival person you are guaranteed to love the Bloomsburg Fair. This year’s 167th annual fair will be held from September 23 to October 1 in Bloomsburg.
Every year, the fair includes plenty of foods, shows, contests, vendors, carnival rides, and even concerts. Singers like country artist Justin Moore and Nelly will be performing this year on the fairgrounds.
Admission costs eight dollars for adults and is free for children twelve and under.
Students can attend the fair for free on one of the Student Days. They are Tuesday, September 27 and Friday, September 30.
Northeast Pennsylvania is a great place to spend the fall in. There are so many sights and activities that are enjoyable for any group of people.
